Our Work…
Our Wood Shop--All of our railing is custom built in our off-site wood shop to be installed on your front porch--if we are replacing the front porch, our team will install the railing to fit the exact distances between porch columns and posts.
Mars Ave--Railings can be made with maintenance-free PVC, cedar, hemlock, and more. We can help you choose based on the look of your home and budget. As a rule of thumb, larger-sized spindles and ornamental railing tends to be more costly.
St. Charles Ave--Ornamental railing and new front porches can completely enhance the look of historical Lakewood homes as shown in this complete front porch replacement we constructed in 2022. We also use materials that will last longer against harsh Cleveland weather.
When installing PVC porch flooring, we use stainless steel cleat nails that will are extremely resistant to rust, and installed with a flooring nailer. We've also narrowed down several manufacturers that provide lifetime guarantees with their porch flooring products.
Ogontz Ave--Cedar porch ceilings, columns (and railing) is a good choice for exterior applications, with relatively low maintenance provided a coat of READY-SEAL is applied every several years. It's much easier than staining, and brushes on like water which contains different tints and UV inhibitors.
Wagar Ave--PVC railing can be a great, budget friendly choice that also looks clean and provides maintenance-free enjoyment of your porch. There are countless manufacturers to choose from, and we can help narrow things down to fit your budget and match the style of your home.
Woodward Ave--Many Lakewood front porches are similar; 24-feet across and 8 to 10 feet in depth with a roof is a fairly typical size and arrangement, but there are also many existing porches that need replaced which have a different look, function or style like the one above. Sometimes living spaces are located under porches (basements), or roofs which also serve as balconies.
St. Charles Ave--Custom milled and fabricated columns can be made, or we can also order wood or fiberglass historically-styled columns, often referred to as Tuscan (round) columns, tapered columns, or New-England (square) columns. It is not uncommon to change styles of columns (or railing) based on personal preferences, but all installs conform to local and state code.
Westwood Ave--The City of Lakewood Housing and Building Department does NOT require tall railing as long as the existing railing is short in order to maintain the look of historical homes, however, if your railing is already taller, we can provide options to compliment the look of century homes.
